Transplantation to the eyebrows is a surgery procedure that restores eyebrows that are scarred, stitched, or completely missing.
Transplantation of eyebrow is similar to that of hair. In the transplantation of eyebrow, live hairs are harvested from the back of the head, and transplanted to the eyebrow of the patient. These hairs are live and can grow, thus they look like a natural eyebrow.
For the transplantation of hair to the eyebrow, FUT or FIT method is usually applied. For this purpose, the hair growing above the ear is used. Despite the similarity between hair and eyebrow transplantation methods, eyebrow transplantation technique requires more skill and delicacy, which must be considered by the hair transplantation surgeon. The best candidate for the transplantation of hair to the bald area of eyebrow is the very patient lost her/his eyebrow (due to scar, trauma, or tattoo). It is recommended that eyebrow transplantation be not performed to make a normal eyebrow thick or beautiful or change its form, since the result may not be to the satisfaction of the patient.
